Meet Aimee & Brett
The Heart Behind
Aimee’s at Anna Bay
Aimee’s at Anna Bay is more than just accommodation — it’s the result of a shared dream, years of hard work, and a deep love for people, place, and family. At the heart of it all are locals Aimee and Brett Parkinson, a husband-and-wife team who, alongside their three sons — William, Austin, and Nixon — have poured their lives into creating one of Port Stephens’ most cherished group stays.
With over 20 years in hospitality and event management, Aimee brings a wealth of experience, creativity, and care to every element of the guest experience. From the way each space is styled to how every booking is handled, her eye for detail and passion for creating meaningful moments is felt in every corner of the property.
Brett — a skilled boilermaker and all-round handyman — is the quiet achiever behind the scenes. Every fence post, every fresh coat of paint, and every custom-built touch has his craftsmanship and care in it. He keeps the wheels turning, making sure that the property is not only beautiful, but built to last.
Together, they have created a space that radiates warmth, welcome, and intention — a home away from home where guests feel instantly relaxed and genuinely looked after.
But the heartbeat of Aimee’s at Anna Bay is the family itself. William, Austin, and Nixon are often seen helping around the property, greeting guests, or joining in community events. They’ve grown up watching their parents work hard, give generously, and build something special — and they are a proud part of the journey. The property is more than a business; it’s a living legacy for their boys.
Their commitment to the local community runs deep. Aimee proudly serves as President of Port Stephens Women in Business, using her voice and leadership to support and uplift other women in business. They are also a sponsor of Dads and Daughters Port Stephens, helping to strengthen family bonds through meaningful connection.
Brett regularly contributes behind the scenes — whether it’s lending a hand to a local family, supporting a neighbor, or donating his time and skills to local causes. As a couple and as a family, they have donated over $90,000 in accommodation to local schools, charities, sports clubs, and families in need.
They believe deeply in collaboration over competition, in buying local, and in using their platform to promote the people, places, and experiences that make Port Stephens so extraordinary.
“This business is our heart. We built it not just for ourselves, but for others — for the families who need to reconnect, the women who deserve to be celebrated, the people who just need to feel welcomed and cared for. That’s why we do it.” – Aimee
“We’ve built every part of this with our own hands, and every guest who walks through the gate becomes part of our story. This is more than a business — it’s a gift to our boys, and a way to give back to our community.” – Brett
Together, Aimee, Brett, William, Austin, and Nixon bring a ‘home feel to everyone’s stay’ — where community is honoured, family is everything, and guests leave not just rested, but truly connected.
